This name originates from Italy. It is part of the Italy Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Nunatak, 48 km ESE of Timber Peak. Discontinuous granitoid outcrop with flat, glacially eroded summit, c.a. 1000 square m (difficult to estimate due to snow cover). Named after the discovery of Transantarctic Mountain microtektites. The nunatak is one of the places where microtektites from the Transantartic Mountains were first discovered by Programma Nazionale delle Ricerche in Antartide Expeditions in 2006.
