This name originates from United Kingdom. It is part of the Gazetteer of the British Antarctic Territory and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Island approximately 1.5km wide and 2km long, with Cape Renard at its northern end and separated from False Cape Renard by a channel that appeared following loss of ice prior to 2000. Named in association with Cape Renard (APC, 2008).
