Narrative

An ice-filled inlet lying west of Chapman Point on the north side of Jason Peninsula, Oscar II Coast. Named by Argentina, 1978, after Sub-lieutenant Alberto Hanza of the corvette ARA Uruguay on the voyage of 1906-07. The variant name Skvarca Inlet was approved by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names on July 7, 2008, but based upon additional heretofore unknown information proves the feature was already named Hanza Inlet.
