This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky point on the S side of the entrance to Ograzhden Cove on the NW coast of Ray Promontory in the NW extremity of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Situated 680 m S of Essex Point, 1.23 km ENE of Isbul Point and 1.98 km ENE of Start Point. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1992. and Bulgarian in 2005, 2009 and 2010. Named after the city of Kardzhali in Southern Bulgaria.
