This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A chain of several islets and rocks lying off the SW extremity of Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Extending 1.3 km in E-W direction and separated from Devils Point to the N by the narrow (20 m) passage of Hell Gates. The group includes the small islands of Demon, Sprite and Imp, with the former two extending 420 by 400 m and 270 by 150 m respectively. British mapping in 1968, Spanish in 1992, and Bulgarian in 2005, 2009 and 2010. Named after the settlement of Vardim and the eponymous Danube River island in Northern Bulgaria.
