This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 970 m E of Sabine Glacier and W of Andrew Glacier on Davis Coast in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula. Situated 6.55 km ESE of Bankya Peak, 5.25 km NE of Sredorek Peak and 6.3 km SW of Nikyup Point. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the Bulgarian aviation pioneer Stoyan Velichkov (b. 1871) who constructed the first air dropped bomb ?Velichka? used in the First Balkan War in 1912. Approved on June 3, 2010.
