This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 1092 m on the S side of Benz Pass on Trinity Peninsula, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated 14.39 km SE of Mount Ignatiev, 7.97 km NNE of Mount Daimler and 6.67 km WNW of Panhard Nunatak. Surmounting Russell East Glacier to the W and S, and Cugnot Ice Piedmont to the E. German-British mapping in 1996. Named after the settlement of Gigen in Northern Bulgaria. Approved on June 3, 2010.
