This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp, rocky point on the S coast of Livingston Island in the ì South Shetland Islands forming the W side of the entrance to ì Mateev Cove. Situated on the E side of the small ice-free ì promontory ending in Hannah Point to the W, 870 m ENE of the ì latter and 7.3 km WSW of Ereby Point. British mapping in 1968, ì Chilean in 1971, Argentine in 1980, and Bulgarian in 2005 and ì 2009. Named after the settlements of Yasen in Northwestern and ì Northern Bulgaria.
