This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 6.9 km long and 2.5 km wide glacier on Barison Peninsula, Graham Coast in Graham Land, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated NW of Talev Glacier and NNE of Chernomen Glacier. Draining northwards, and flowing into Beascochea Bay. British mapping in 1971. Named after the seaside locality of Butamya in Southeastern Bulgaria.
