This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 2 km beach forming the S side of Yankee Harbour on the SW coast of Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands. Bounded by the base of Provadiya Hook to the W, Oborishte Ridge to the S, and the terminus of Solis Glacier to the E. Snow-free in summer. British mapping in 1822 and 1968, Chilean in 1971, Argentine in 1980, and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. Named after the ancient and medieval fortress of Kladara in Southeastern Bulgaria. Approved on December 6, 2010.
