This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 2500 m in the N part of Sullivan Heights in central Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 2.37 km NW of Mount Levack, 11.33 km ENE of Mount Bearskin, 11.08 km SE of Mount Jumper and 5.28 km S of Roberts Peak. Surmounting Pulpudeva Glacier to the W and Ellen Glacier to the N. US mapping in 1988. Named after Georgi Mamarchev (1786-1846), leader of the Bulgarian liberation movement, in connection with the settlement of Mamarchevo in Southern Bulgaria.
