This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The peak rising to 1100 m in the SE foothills of Detroit Plateau on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated in the W part of Grivitsa Ridge, 9.77 km SW of Gusla Peak, 9.43 km NW of Fothergill Point, 3.43 km NNE of Kableshkov Ridge, and 23.22 km SE of Baldwin Peak on Danco Coast. Surmounting Darvari Glacier to the N and Zaychar Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Batkun in Southern Bulgaria.
