This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky point on Oscar II Coast, Antarctic Peninsula, formed by an offshoot of Yordanov Nunatak. Situated on the NW coast of Borima Bay, 6.9 km W of Diralo Point and 9 km NW of Caution Point. Formed as a result of the disintegration of Larsen Ice Shelf in the area in 2002 and the subsequent retreat of Jorum Glacier and Minzuhar Glacier. Named after the settlement of Furen in Northwestern Bulgaria.
