This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rounded, ice-covered peak rising to 1700 m in Lovech Heights on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated 1.9 km S of Mrahori Saddle, 14.2 km SW of Tillberg Peak, 15.1 km NNW of the ridge forming Cape Fairweather, and 3.17 km ENE of Mount Persenk. Surmounting Rogosh Glacier to the S and NW, Zlokuchene Glacier to the ENE, and Risimina Glacier to the SE. British mapping in 1978. Named after the medieval fortress of Moriya in Western Bulgaria.
