This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 2700 m to form the S extremity of Veregava Ridge on the E side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 4 km SW of Mount Waldron, 3.2 km WNW of Mount Tuck from which it is separated by Manole Pass, and 6.7 km E of Vanand Peak. Surmounting Dater Glacier to the W and its tributary Hansen Glacier to the E. US mapping in 1988. Named after Parangalitsa Nature Reserve in Rila Mountain, Bulgaria.
