This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 600 m on the coast of Vaughan Inlet, at the NE extremity of Rugate Ridge on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Situated 13.7 km NE of Mount Bistre, 13.18 km S of Sekirna Spur, 13.4 km W of Mural Nunatak, and 18 km NW of Whiteside Hill. Surmounting Green Glacier to the NW and Musina Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Pirne in Southeastern Bulgaria.
