This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The partly ice-free ridge extending 24 km and 11 km wide on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Descending eastwards from the S extremity of Forbidden Plateau towards Caution Point. Rising to over 1500 m at its W extremity. Surmounting Jorum Glacier and Borima Bay to the N, Exasperation Inlet to the E, and Spillane Fjord and Crane Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1976. Named after the settlement of Austa in Southern Bulgaria.
