This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The mostly ice-covered peak rising to 1500 m in the W part of Voden Heights on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Situated 3.47 km SE of Mount Zadruga, 9 km NW of Pamidovo Nunatak, and 3.16 km NE of Mount Bosnek. Surmounting a tributary to Fleece Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1976. Named after the settlements of Izvor in Southeastern, Southern, Western and Northwestern Bulgaria.
