This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The narrow rocky ridge extending 8.8 km in N-S direction and 1.6 km wide, rising to 1050 m in Aristotle Mountains on Oscar II Coast in Graham Land. Situated in the S foothills of Mount Sara Teodora, 5.29 km SSW of its summit point, and 4.73 km W of Chintulov Ridge, 11.71 km N of Bildad Peak, and 8.06 km ENE of Mount Fedallah. Surmounting Belogradchik Glacier to the W, Ambergris Glacier to the E, and Flask Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1976. Named after the settlement of Valkosel in Southwestern Bulgaria.
