This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered buttress rising to 1600 m in the SW foothills of Detroit Plateau on Nordenskjöld Coast in Graham Land. Situated between west-flowing tributaries to Drygalski Glacier, 10.15 km WSW of Glazne Buttress, 4.2 km N of Ruth Ridge, 10.35 km E of the S extremity of Fender Buttress, and 4.5 km S of Konstantin Buttress. Precipitous, partly ice-free NW and SE slopes. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Stoykite in Southern Bulgaria.
