This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky peak rising to 600 m in Bigla Ridge on Foyn Coast, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated 3.2 km NE of Mount Popov, 10.66 km SSW of Balder Point and 7.5 km N by W of Spur Point. Surmounting Cabinet Inlet to the NE. British mapping in 1974. Named after Dimitar Balabanski, physicist at St. Kliment Ohridski base in 1994/95 and subsequent seasons.
