This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky ridge extending 8.55 km in WNW-ESE direction, 2 km wide and rising to 600 m on Foyn Coast, Antarctic Peninsula. Situated 6.55 km SE of Meda Nunatak, 13.15 km SW of Bastion Peak and 9.52 km NE of Gluhar Hill. Surmounting Attlee Glacier to the N and Bevin Glacier to the S, with its E extremity forming Fitzmaurice Point. British mapping in 1974. Named after the settlement of Chemish in Northwestern Bulgaria.
