This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The low ice-free island in the Onogur group off the NW coast of Robert Island in the South Shetland Islands situated 1.46 km N of Misnomer Point and 640 m WSW of Shipot Point. Extending 200 m in SE-NW direction and 80 m wide. Separated from Redina Island by a 100 m wide passage. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after Leeve River in Rila Mountain, Bulgaria.
