This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-free island in the Onogur group off the NW coast of Robert Island in the South Shetland Islands situated 1.22 km N of Misnomer Point and 760 m SW of Shipot Point. Extending 280 m in E-W direction and 130 m wide. Separated from Robert Island by a 20 m wide passage. Bulgarian mapping in 2009. Named after the settlement of Redina in Western Bulgaria.
