This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky island in the SW part of Hamburg Bay on the NW coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 10.45 km NE of Gerlache Point and 8.77 km SW of Bonnier Point. The feature is 920 m long in SE-NW direction and 580 m wide. Separated from Anvers Island to the S and Petrelik Island to the NW by 570 m and 160 m wide passages respectively. British mapping in 1974. Named after the settlement of Emen in Northern Bulgaria.
