This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The glacier extending 3.6 km in E-W direction and 2.2 km in N-S direction on Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated NE of Sigmen Glacier. Draining the N slopes of Brugmann Mountains and flowing northwards into Boisguehenneuc Bay. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Shterna in Southern Bulgaria.
