Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The ice-covered peak rising to 600 m in Brugmann Mountains on Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 1.67 km S of Vazharov Peak, 1.72 km NW of Leshko Point and 3.6 km NE of Pavlov Peak. Surmounting Coria Cove to the NE, Beripara Cove to the S and Sigmen Glacier to the NW. British mapping in 1978. Named after the settlement of Kozyak in Northeastern Bulgaria.
