This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The point on the W side of the entrance to Gerritsz Bay on the N coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago. Situated 5.67 km W of Cape Grönland and 13.52 km NE of Quinton Point. British mapping in 1980. Named after the Austrian Bulgarian artist Joseph Oberbauer (1853-1926).
