This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The peak rising to 2300 m at the N extremity of Bastien Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Situated 12.88 km NW of Ichev Nunatak, and 19.63 km SW of Mount Gardner and 22.5 km W of Mount Vinson in Sentinel Range. Steep and partly ice-free N and SW slopes. Surmounting upper Nimitz Glacier to the SE. US mapping in 1961 and 1988. Named after the Thracian town of Ereta in Northeastern Bulgaria.
