This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky ridge extending 3.9 km and 1.3 km wide, forming the SE extremity of Flowers Hill on the E side of Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains. Its southernmost height of elevation 400 m is situated 13.4 km SE of Gubesh Peak, 21 km ENE of Long Peak in Petvar Heights, and 13.3 km NE of Johnson Spur and 13.07 km ESE of Taylor Spur in Doyran Heights. Surmounting Rutford Ice Stream to the E and the ends of its tributaries flowing from Sikera Valley and Doyran Heights to the W. US mapping in 1961 and 1988. Named after the medieval fortress of Batil in Western Bulgaria.
