This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The sharp rocky peak in Ellsworth Mountains rising to 2700 m on the side ridge that trends 15 km from Mount Bentley on the main crest of north-central Sentinel Range west-northwestwards to Mount Hubley. Situated 6.17 km ESE of Mount Hubley, 5.73 km SSW of Strahil Peak, 5.1 km SW of Mount Hale and 5.6 km W by N of Mount Bentley. US mapping in 1961 and 1988. Named after the Bulgarian rebel leader Valchan Voyvoda (Valchan Pandurski, 1775-1863).
