This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 3.2 km wide bay indenting for 1.4 km the E coast of Clarence Island in the South Shetland Islands. Entered N of Lebed Point and S of Sugarloaf Island. Its head is fed by Highton Glacier. British mapping in 1972 and 2009. Istros is the ancient name for the lower Danube River.
