This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rocky, partly ice-covered ridge extending 5.5 km in ESE-WNW direction, 2.5 km wide and rising to 1400 m in the N foothills of Foster Plateau on Danco Coast in Graham Land. Situated 3.9 km SSE of Mitkaloto Peak and 4.5 km W of the Waist col. Surmounts Krebs Glacier to the SSW, Charlotte Bay to the NW and Bozhinov Glacier to th NNE. British mapping in 1978. Named after the Bulgarian poet Valeri Petrov (born Valeri Mevorah, 1920-2014).
