This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The mostly ice-covered peak rising to 1100 m at the end of a side ridge extending towards Lanusse Bay from Mount Parry in Stribog Mountains on Brabant Island in Palmer Archipelago. Situated 2.46 km NW of Mount Parry, 3.85 km ENE of Minot Point and 6.3 km SE of Driencourt Point. Steep and partly ice-free SW, NW and NE slopes. Surmounts Djerassi Glacier to the N. British mapping in 1980 and 2008. Named after the settlement of Venchan in Northeastern Bulgaria.
