This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A flat mountain formed like a footstep, north of the Sanmen Xia and south of the Huangshi Shan. It was frist named by a Chinese geologist. The name was confirmed when aerial photos surveying and mapping in February,1986.
