This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A steep ice slope ,which is filled with large icegap, lies in the northeast Zhonghua Feng, through which people can go across the Mountain Harding to the blue ice marsh land in the northwest. Wenjun Peng was stuck in the icegap while driving a snowmobile and then he walked back to the campsite. It was named when surveying and mapping in 2000.
