This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Among those lakes that spread all over the Stornes Peninsula, there are two small circular lakes that are close to each other, one in the east and one in the west. They are like two shiny black lenses that lie in the rocky place covered with snow seen from the aerial photographs. It was named when aerial photos surveying and mapping in 1993.
