Feature type: Peninsula
This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A magnificent place on the west coast of Fildes Peninsula. Manao Tan extends westwards into the sea and forms Pingdingyan Bandao. The connection between the peninsula and the land is narrow, long and flat, and looks like a bridge. The outer place is a huge square column with a flat top and steep cliffs, which are hard to climb. Seals and birds often appear on the peninsula, making it an excellent place for sightseeing. It was named when surveying and mapping in 1986.
