This name originates from China. It is part of the China Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
It is a bay located to the south of Gemel Peak. The coast is flat and the top of the it is low-lying. The soil there is frozen soil. There is much moss and seals inhabiting in summer.It was named when aerial photos surveying and mapping in 1986.
