Zhongshan Station was built in 26nd,1989,and is located in Larsemann Hills in the east Antarctica (69° 22" 24" S,76° 22" 40" E).The average elevation of the station is 11 meters.It is 12,553 km from here to Beijing. There are more than 20 buildings and means of transportation in Zhongshan Station. There are not only advanced communication equipment,comfortable living conditions,but also relatively complete scientific labs which have a variety of equipment used in the scientific research. Each year, Zhongshan Station can hold 25 overwintering people and 60 people who are spending summer.
