This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered mountain rising to 1700 m in Havre Mountains, northern Alexander Island. Situated 14.65 km E of Simon Peak, 5.42 km SE of Igralishte Peak, 8.26 km SW of Mount Newman and 19.2 km NNE of Mount Holt. Surmounts Foreman Glacier to the SE and Wubbold Glacier to the SW. British mapping in 1971.
Named after the hypothetical 'lost land' of Pontida located in Black Sea.
