A conical peak with a spur running west from the main snow slope on the north-west face. It rises about 300 m above the surrounding plateau to 1,557 m above sea level. It is the eastern-most peak of the Athos Range in the Prince Charles Mountains. First visited by the ANARE southern party, 1956-57, led by William G. Bewsher. Named after Robert M. Jacklyn, cosmic ray physicist at Mawson in 1956. Altitude and coordinates are at western end of mountain.
