This name originates from Australia. It is part of the Australian Antarctic Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A prominent mountain in the Dismal Mountains, Kemp Land, about 13 km south-west of Cyclops Peak. Plotted from ANARE air photographs taken in 1959.
Named after David J. Luders, officer-in-charge at Mawson in 1974 and leader of an ANARE tractor train party which established a base camp at Knuckey Peaks in 1974.
