This name originates from United Kingdom. It is part of the Gazetteer of the British Antarctic Territory and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
Ice stream flowing into George VI Ice Shelf and English Coast north west from Yee Nunataks and 30 km south east from DeAtley Island. Following a naming theme in western Palmer Land for Earth Observation satellites and their sensors that have collected important data for understanding the Antarctic Ice Sheet. The ESA-developed Sentinel suite of European Union owned satellites supports the EU Copernicus environmental and climate change monitoring programme including provision of Synthetic Aperture Radar altimeter and multi-spectral datasets.
