Small lake east of Penance Pass, approximately 2.5km southeast of Lake Buddha, in the McMurdo Dry Valleys.
Named by VUWAE 4 1960-61 (Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition). Follows a theme with other names in the vicinity. First named on 'Geological Map of the Koettliz-Blue Glacier Region' 1963.
