This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The slightly bent towards south rectangular lake, 320 m long in W-E direction and 90 m wide on President Beaches, Byers Peninsula on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Surface area 2.42 ha. Separated from the waters of New Plymouth by a 20 to 35 m wide strip of land. Centred 900 m E of Laager Point and 2.08 km S of Ocoa Point.
Named after the ancient trade centre of Pistiros in Southern Bulgaria.
