This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The 190 m long in SE-NW direction and 70 m wide lake on eastern Byers Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands. Surface area 0.96 ha. Situated just W of Urvich Wall and centred 230 m NE of the larger Oread Lake, 3 km NE of Dometa Point and 3.25 km S of Nedelya Point. Drains northwards into Barclay Bay by way of Bedek Stream.
Named after the ancient Roman road station of Montemno in Northern Bulgaria.
