A peak located at the S extremity of Vinten-Johansenegga as a distinctive landmark facing Steinskaret in the SW, Holtedahlfjella, Kurzegebirge, Orvinfjella, Neuschwabenland, Dronning Maud Land. Very likely a first ascent on 2009-NOV-19 during a privately organized expedition, motivated by mountain climbing, nature studies and journalistic interests, called 1st Austrian Queen Maud Land Expedition 2009.
Jacob's ladder is the descriptive name of the mountain's appearance with ridges in three stages.
