This name originates from . It is part of the Germany Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
A mountain lying at the margin of the basin 'In der Schüssel', in close SE vicinity to the pass 'Am Überlauf'. The top peak shows a distinct darker colour than the surrounding snow-free rock. Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gebirge, Wohlthatmassiv, Fimbulheimen, Neuschwabenland, Dronning Maud Land. Very likely a first ascent on 2017-NOV-14 during a privately organized expedition, motivated by mountain climbing, nature studies and journalistic interests, called International Queen Maud Land Expedition 2017.
The specific name part 'Schüssel' refers to the existing German name of the basin 'In der Schüssel', named during the German Antarctic Expedition 1938/39 under Filchner.
