An isolated feature approximately 2.7km south of Windwhistle Peak in the Allan Hills. Feature depicted on: NZ AntTopo50-MC06
Discovered by NZARP Allan Hills Expedition (1946). The nunatak was found to be continually shrouded in drifting snow and was named after the land of the Scythians which, according to the Romans, had this peculiarity in common.
